Three parts, each moving on its own. A rosette at the top with a larger diamond inside a ring of small rose cuts, then a single stone, then two leaves set with more, and the drop at the bottom.
The amethyst sits in a closed rose gold bezel. That is why the purple does not look flat but lit from within. The warm gold throws light back into the stone, and a white setting cannot do that.
Every one of the small rose cuts was set by hand, rosette by rosette, leaf by leaf. Earrings like these rarely come through the years complete. Both are here, every stone is in place, and the two match right down to the halos.
The gold has the softened surface that comes from wear. The posts have butterfly backs.
